CONGRATULATIONS on your decision to get married! In the church, we believe you have made a good decision and we would like to support you in your preparations for the day, but more importantly, for the marriage itself. We've put together some notes to help guide you through the arrangements you will need to make for the day of the wedding.
Introduction
Before entering into arrangements it is important that you carefully think through the reasons why you want to be married in church. The service will be a Christian service of marriage and if you are comfortable with that, then fine. If not, there is no disgrace whatsoever in having a Civil Ceremony. You must always be true to your own beliefs. If you do decide to go ahead with a church service, the minister will want to discuss with you ways in which you can become involved in the life of the church and ways in which you will be able to support the work of the church. This is important.
